For School Districts
A key goal of Arts for All is to establish a strong foundation and deepen school district capacity to implement arts education and restore dance, music, theatre and visual arts to the core of education. Upon joining the Arts for All network, school districts are eligible for a variety of services.
Coaching
The technical assistance provided through Arts for All supports school districts in planning for or implementing district-wide arts education. And during these fiscally difficult times, there is no charge to school districts for the services.
Each district team receives the assistance of a coach, in addition to other services, to develop an arts education policy and a long-range budgeted plan. If the district already has a plan, Arts for All provides support in implementing key programming and/or priorities for K-12 arts education goals.
With the Arts for All regional model clusters of school districts come together to participate in collaborative meetings to explore common challenges and ways they might work together as a region to share resources and generate innovative ways to continue implementing their arts education goals and plans. Currently Arts for All supports three (3) regional clusters in LA County (Whittier, South Bay and Santa Clarita).
Regardless of where a district is in the process, all districts benefit from this network of continued support to move arts education forward in each district.
Artists in the classroom
School districts are eligible for matching funds to hire artists and arts organizations for Arts for All Residency Grant Program designed to help realize goals set forth in their arts education plans.
Professional development
Arts coordinators from Arts for All districts can build their capacity and broaden their impact as instructional leaders through the free Arts Coordinator Professional Development Series.
To date, 47 districts and one charter school management (ICEF) organization representing 550,665 school students in Los Angeles County have joined Arts For All.. For information on how to become an Arts for All district, please contact Kimberleigh Aarn, Senior Manager, by email or at (213) 202-5858.
