About Arts For All

What is Arts for All?

Established by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, Arts for All is the dynamic, county-wide collaboration working to create vibrant classrooms, schools, communities and economies through the restoration of all arts disciplines into the core curriculum for each of our 1.6 million public K-12 students.

Who is Arts for All?

No single agency, organization or interest group alone can ensure high quality arts education for all students in Los Angeles County. Arts for All mobilizes diverse stakeholders including policymakers and local leadership, school district leaders and teachers, the arts community, artists, advocates, funders, business leaders, parents, students and community leaders. Shared Leadership is necessary to achieve arts education in public schools.

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission, with the Los Angeles County Office of Education, coordinates and staffs Arts for All.

How does Arts for All work?

Arts for All’s work is structured around four goals designed to build and strengthen school district capacity to deliver arts education, improve the quality of teaching and learning, empower advocates and establish funding partnerships to sustain arts education. Arts for All takes a pragmatic approach to assisting school districts, connecting them to effective tools and resources at each step of the way to make arts education a classroom reality.
